The WSBA is Australia's home for everyone who has an interest in Wiltipolls, from commercial producers to small landholders and those interested in naturally shedding sheep enthusiasts. We've been building this community since 2012.
Our Story
Wiltipoll sheep are a polled, large framed, lean and well-muscled cleanskin meat sheep developed in Australia in the early 1990’s using reliable wool shedding and polled genetics.
The Wiltipoll Sheep Breeders Association was founded in 2012 — originally as the Wiltipoll Stud Breeders Australia (WSBA) — by a passionate group of breeders and owners who shared a deep enthusiasm for this uniquely Australian sheep.
Over the years our name has evolved, but our purpose has remained constant: to bring together Wiltipoll breeders, and to support one another across the full spectrum of sheep farming— from the paddock to market and in the show ring.
Today the WSBA is the officially recognised breed group for Wiltipoll Sheep, approved by the Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association Limited (ASSBA), which manages the Wiltipoll Stud Flock Register.

WSBA is the approved breed group for Wiltipoll Sheep under the Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association Limited. Stud Wiltipoll Sheep are registered through ASSBA, which manages the Wiltipoll Stud Flock Register — ensuring the breed's integrity and your investment is protected.
We also support breeders participating in LAMBPLAN, Australia's genetic evaluation program for sheep, helping members make data-driven decisions to improve their flocks.
